SUP Yoga ~ Wood Lake (Beasley Park)

Stand-Up Paddle board (SUP) Yoga is a unique and invigorating practice that combines traditional yoga poses with the tranquility of being on water. Practiced on a paddleboard floating in a body of water, SUP Yoga challenges your balance, strengthens your core, and cultivates a deep sense of presence. It allows you to connect with nature and experience a heightened sense of serenity as you flow through yoga poses on the water. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to both yoga and paddle boarding, SUP Yoga offers a refreshing and memorable way to deepen your practice and connect with the elements around you.

Join us at Beasley Park on Wood Lake for a fun paddle board yoga class. No paddle board or yoga experience necessary, just a sense of humour, sunscreen, and an outfit you don't mind potentially getting wet!

Bring your own paddle board.

LJ will provide everything students need to be anchored together.  Classes will run even on moderately wavy days, though please check in, as some weather conditions may require rescheduling.

Drop in price per class: $35 Limited to 9 people per class.

LJ Jackett

LJ found yoga through the path of meditation and remembers the first time she tried meditating ---when it clicked --- there was space she had been longing to find... and as she found yoga as well she truly appreciates how her practice serves mind, body, and spirit.

NATURE is LJ's main inspiration and she's built her offerings and practise around nature and she teaches on beaches, docks, and in the forest, and even offers SUP Yoga on the lakes around the Okanagan! Her passion is frolicking in nature in every which way including cold plunging in the winter and she adores hiking, and camping, and loves to discover new and beautiful places to do so. She lives a nomadic lifestyle and also teaches at festivals around Canada and also makes her home in Kenora ON.

LJ's been teaching for almost 8 years and has accumulated over 600 hours of various yoga, reiki, and breathwork certifications, and especially loves to teach creative vinyasa sequences, and integrate yin, restorative poses, and meditation and yoga nidra in her classes. She follows many gurus around the world and loves to take new trainings when she travels.
