Join Chris Phillips for an afternoon dedicated to Vinyasa Krama, a traditional, breath-oriented practice as taught by Srivatsa Ramaswami.
This workshop is for all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners, and offers a fresh perspective on the yoga tradition. This session focuses on slow, deliberate movements synchronized with the breath.
Expect a focused, calming environment designed to quiet the mind and relax the body.
Chris Phillips (@trueloveyoga) is a Victoria-based wellness professional with 18 years of experience spanning strength conditioning, high-performance athletic training, and traditional yoga. Chris draws his foundational teaching style from his very first teacher training with Srivatsa Ramaswami, where he immersed himself in the study of Vinyasa Krama. Rooted in the One Yoga lineage of Ryan Leier, Chris is also a dedicated, continuous student of Tina Pashumati James, learning her expressions of Ashtanga Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga. Driven by a deep appreciation for alignment and the precise use of props, he has also studied Iyengar Yoga with Father Joe Pereira and the Iyengar Centre of Victoria.
Beyond the physical practice, Chris is a dedicated student of the Bhakti Yoga path. Inspired by the teachings of Ram Dass and the Sacred Community Project, his practice focuses on finding the light within ourselves and others to help quiet the mind, open the heart, and serve in relieving suffering.
